Lenny Morris vs. The Universe
Evan Powers, Columbia grad, made this super rad 35mm short film. It’s hilarious. Great writing and direction, awesome choices with camera, fucking excellent casting with the grandparents (danny goldring) I can’t begin to explain how cool it is to see someone a few years older than me achieve such pro shots on 35mm. Great use of extras, fantastic art department that really filled each location (could’ve used a tiny bit more in the scenes with the grandparents but the acting makes up for it). I’m curious how long rehearsals ran for this. Anyways, solid. WATCH IT!
